1. Nature of the service
The Tax Refund Israel website provides general information about tax refunds in Israel and a preliminary eligibility check based on details provided by the user. Using the eligibility check form is free of charge and does not commit the user to continue with any process.
This site is operated by Adv. Ilan Porat (Licensed Dealer No. 009897786), 23B Herzl St., Hadera, and is not a government website. The service is not provided on behalf of the Israel Tax Authority or any other government body.
2. No tax advice
The content on the site, including the guides and the answers to frequently asked questions, is general information only and does not constitute tax advice, legal advice, financial advice or a substitute for professional advice tailored to each person's individual circumstances.
3. Status of the preliminary check result
The result shown at the end of the questionnaire is an estimate of likelihood only, based on what you selected and not on actual data from the Israel Tax Authority (רשות המסים). It is not a determination of eligibility and not a commitment that you will receive a refund or any particular amount. The final decision on a tax refund rests solely with the Israel Tax Authority.
4. Filing on your own
For the avoidance of doubt, anyone may file a tax refund claim on their own and free of charge, directly with the Israel Tax Authority, and nothing on the site detracts from this right.
5. Handling fee
The eligibility check on the site is free of charge, and there is no file opening fee or upfront payment. For handling that leads to a tax refund being received, a handling fee of 20% of the refund, VAT included will be paid. You pay only after the refund has reached your bank account, and not before. If no refund is received, no handling fee is paid. The fee terms are presented in full before the power of attorney is signed and are signed as a separate agreement. A copy will be provided at the client's request.
6. User responsibility
The user undertakes to provide correct and complete details and to attach genuine documents only. Providing false details to the tax authorities is a criminal offense.
7. Limitation of liability
The service is provided as is. We are not liable for any direct or indirect damage arising from reliance on the information on the site, from delays in handling on the part of the authorities, or from any factor beyond our reasonable control.
8. Intellectual property
All content on the site, including text, design and illustrations, is protected by copyright. It may not be copied or used commercially without prior written permission.
9. Governing law and jurisdiction
Use of the site is governed by Israeli law, and the competent courts in Israel have exclusive jurisdiction.
