Tax Refund Israel attaches great importance to providing an equal and accessible service to the entire public, including people with disabilities, and works to make the site accessible in accordance with Regulation 35 of the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Accessibility Adjustments for Service) Regulations, 5773-2013 (תקנות שוויון זכויות לאנשים עם מוגבלות (התאמות נגישות לשירות), התשע"⁨ג-2013⁩).

The site's accessibility level

The site has been made accessible in accordance with Israeli Standard SI 5568 (ת"⁨י 5568⁩) "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines", at conformance level AA, which is based on the WCAG 2.0 guidelines of the W3C consortium. In the most recent review, the site's pages and the steps of the eligibility questionnaire were checked with an automated testing tool and by manual testing, and no nonconformities at level AA were found.

Adjustments made on the site

  • Semantic page structure, with a correct heading hierarchy and a single main heading on every page.
  • A skip link to the main content, which appears on the first press of the Tab key.
  • Full operation with the keyboard alone, including the eligibility questionnaire, with a clear and prominent focus indicator.
  • Every form field is linked to an explicit label, and error messages are worded in text and not conveyed by color alone.
  • Color contrast that meets the 4.5:1 ratio requirement for normal text.
  • Alternative text for meaningful images, and decorative images are marked as such.
  • The explainer video is accompanied by a full written transcript.
  • Adapted to all screen sizes, and remains readable when text is enlarged in the browser.
  • Respects the operating system preference for reduced motion (Reduced Motion).
  • The site contains no flashing or automatically moving content that cannot be stopped.
